A relative newcomer to the pole vault, Pomerleau continued to reach new heights as he produced a school record in last Saturday's home meet against University of Rochester and Roberts Wesleyan. A former cross country runner for the Golden Flyers, Pomerleau began pole vaulting less than two years ago and soared to a school record by clearing 4.28 meters (14 feet, 1/2 inch). The Golden Flyers are home again Saturday for another indoor meet at the Golisano Training Center.
