On his first-ever career attempt, Florian set a school record in the pole vault last Friday by clearing 13 feet as Nazareth hosted its first meet in the new Golisano Training Center. He went on to finish sixth in a competitive field by clearing 4.25 meters (13 feet, 11 1/4 inches), shattering the previous school record by nearly two feet.
