Farrand led the Golden Flyers to a second-place finish at the Empire 8 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships last week at Webster Aquatic Center by breaking seven school records. He won both the 50- and 100-yard freestyles and reached NCAA qualifying cuts with respective times of :20.33 and :44.88. He was also clocked in :49.88 in the prelims of the 100 butterfly. He was part of four relay records -- the 200 free relay (1:22.75), the 400 free relay (3:04.93), the 200 medley relay (1:31.61) and the 400 medley relay (3:25.23).
