Competing for the first time outdoors in 2018, Thompson finished second in the 1,500-meter run at the Geneseo Invitational last Saturday. Her career-best time of 4:47.57 was just .17 of a second off the Nazareth school record of 4:47.40, set by Michaela Gildemeyer in 2014.
