Thompson's ascent among the top Division III distance runners continued Friday as she placed 14th in the 5,000-meter run at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University. Her time of 17:07.61 shattered the Nazareth school record by more than a minute and ranks her 11th nationally in Division III.
