Thompson started the second semester in impressive fashion last Friday as she broke the school indoor mark in the mile with a time of 5:19.81 at the Highlander Invitational at Houghton. She was the top collegiate finisher in the race and finished nearly 12 seconds ahead of her closest pursuer.
