Hess captured the 1,650-yard freestyle for the fourth year in a row Saturday as Nazareth closed out its swimming and diving season at the Upper New York State Championships at Ithaca. Hess posted a winning time of 17:31.51 and also placed fourth in the 500 freestyle, 15th in the 400 IM and seventh in the 800 free relay.
