Gillard helped the seventh-ranked Golden Flyers open their 2017 men's volleyball season in successful fashion Saturday by posting a match-high 20 kills in a four-set triumph over Marymount. The sophomore outside hitter had a .441 hitting percentage with five service aces and delivered a solo block on match point as Nazareth captured the final set 28-26.
