Battaglia opened the indoor track and field season in successful fashion last Thursday by placing first in the 1,000-meter run at the RIT Early Season Invitational with a winning time of 2:37.95. He also ran on the winning 4 x 400-meter relay that finished first with a time of 3:35.50.
