Mertens tossed her second no-hitter of the season and the first perfect game in the program's history Saturday as Nazareth blanked Houghton, 8-0, in the second game of a doubleheader. Mertens had three strikeouts over five hitless innings as she improved her overall pitching record to 10-9. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run-scoring double.
