Hess had a strong showing at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championship meet, highlighted by winning the 1650-yard freestyle in 17:18.09.  She also registered a school record time of 5:04.01 in the 500 free to take third place.  Individually, she was also was 15th in the 200 free (1:58.52).

In relay action, she helped the 800 free take eighth in 8:01.48. The 200 free relay was 10th in 1:41.51, while the 400 free relay was 12th in 3:49.27.
