Pierson improved upon her own school record in the long jump Saturday with a first-place finish in that event at the ECAC Division III Championships in New York City. Her leap of 18 feet, 1 inch was a provisional qualifying distance for this weekend's NCAA Championship meet in Illinois. Pierson also ran on Nazareth 4 x 200-meter relay that also set a school record with a time of 1:47.54 and on the 4 x 400-meter relay that finished ninth in 4:09.39.
