Mathematics major… daughter of William and Michele McKinney, Watertown, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season at Nazareth, McKinney continued to be one of the Golden Flyers' top swimmers as she tallied a team-high 396.8 points and earned the team's High Point Award. . . qualified and competed in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championship meet at the University of Minnesota . . . at the national meet, McKinney finished 17th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.87), 18th in the 200 IM (2:06.90), and 25th in the 100-yard fly (:57.89). . . earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. . . joined Brittany Beane, Holly Gilligan, and Jaclyn Conklin to set the school record in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:55.08 (11/15/08) . . . was a member of the 400-meter freestyle relay (teamed with Rachel Hayes, Sara Weigel, and Conklin) that set the school record with a time of 4:12.53 (1/10/09). . . other top times include: :57.03 in the 100-yard fly, 2:06.87 in the 200-yard fly, and 2:06.30 in the 200-yard IM. . .  2007-08: enjoyed a highly successful season as she finished second on the team in scoring with 334.30 points. . . represented the Golden Flyers at the NCAA Championship meet at Miami University in Ohio as she competed in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard fly. . . finished 41st in the 200 IM (2:13.92); 26th in the 100 butterfly (:59.51) and 23rd in the 200 butterfly (2:11.93). . . other best times included 1:59.90 in the 200-yard freestyle, :58.88 in the 100-yard butterfly and 2:09.04 in the 200-yard IM. . . was first-team all-conference in the 200 fly and the 800 free relay. . . earned second-team honors in the 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 200 free relay. . . recipient of the Golden Flyers’ Coaches’ Award for her hard work, dedication, and commitment. . . 2006-07:  finished third on the team in points with 358.3. . . received first-team all-conference honors in the 200-yard butterfly as well as the 800-yard freestyle relay and second-team all-conference honors in the 200 and 400 medley relays at the Empire 8 Conference championship meet. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Watertown High School, McKinney was a member of the swim team for six seasons. . . served as team captain and earned team MVP honors three times. . . helped team to four league championships, and a sectional title. . . also competed on the volleyball and softball teams for four seasons. . . recipient of Leaders of Tomorrow scholarship and was NYSPHSAA Good Sportsmanship award winner.
