ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's volleyball team, seeking its first conference title since 2006, is picked to finish second in the Empire 8 Conference in 2010, according to a poll conducted by the league's head coaches.
The Golden Flyers finished 25-13 in 2009 with a 7-1 mark in conference matches. Nazareth received 56 points in the coaches poll. Stevens Institute of Technology, seeking its fourth straight E8 title, was a unanimous pick to win the title again in 2010. The Ducks have won all 30 matches played against conference opponents since joining the Empire 8 in 2007.

Cal Wickens, Nazareth opens its season with a non-conference match at Geneseo Sept. 1. Nazareth must replace a pair of first-team all-conference players in
Katelynn Reed and
Kate Zwickl as well as E8 Defensive Specialist of the Year
Mallorie Clary.
