Nazareth softball makes donation to SSJ

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Following the completion of the 2009 season, senior captains Laura Persico and Christa Harris presented the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester a check for $500 on behalf of the Nazareth College softball program, coached by Jack Carpenter.
Sister Erica Joan McDowell plans to use the gift, which came from team fund-raising, to beautify the Motherhouse on French Road with flower gardens, trees and shrubs. The Motherhouse is home to more than 130 Sisters and retired priests and is also the congregation’s hub for prayer and service.
