Nazareth College Athletics

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's equestrian team enjoyed a successful weekend as they completed two more horse shows at Lehman Farms. Nazareth hosted Saturday's show and the Golden Flyers finished in a tie with RIT for eighth place with 19 points. Nazareth was back at Lehman Farms Sunday for another show hosted by Geneseo and Nazareth finished seventh with 24 points.

Sophomore Kali Knickerbocker had a strong weekend as she won Reserve High Point Rider on Saturday in a ride-off against three other riders. Then on Sunday, Knickerbocker won her Intermediate Equitation on the Flat class and qualified for regional competition in that category. She also pointed out and moved into the Open Equitation on the Flat class.

Other highlights from Saturday included senior Caitlin Malone pointing out in the Beginner Walk-Trot-Canter Equitation and into the advanced division.

On Sunday, sophomore Alexandria Kwiek won her Intermediate Equitation on the Flat class and sophomore Cheryl Conant, competing in her first show, won the Beginner Walk-Trot-Canter Equitation class. Freshman Leslie Johnson also finished first in her Walk-Trot Equitation class.
